3. Upper control

DANGER
When using the upper control, make
sure to wear a safety
harness, and put the hook of
the safety harness through
the lanyard anchorage point.
Do not hook to any other
place.

WARNING
• Do your work while standing firmly on
the platform.
If your feet separate from the platform,
by climbing on the guardrails, for
example, there is a possibility you will
lose your balance, and fall.
• Before rotating the boom, make sure
that no person or obstacle is around the
turntable. If the boom cannot be raised
and the rear of the turntable cannot be
seen, have a guide to assist you.
CAUTION
• Before operation, make sure the
platform is level.
If the platform is inclined, adjust the
platform level by referring to the
platform inclination adjustment method.
• To avoid slips and falls while working on
the platform, organize the floor of the
platform carefully, and wipe off water,
oil, etc. well.
• Be especially careful when rotating the
boom.
Check that there are no obstacles in the
way before rotating.
• Do not place small objects near the
control levers. They may catch the
control levers and cause misoperation.
NOTICE
When painting, make sure to close the
cover of the upper control panel after
the platform has been put in position,
and keep the decal clean.
3–1 Foot switch
WARNING
When you are working or once
operations have stopped, take your foot
off the foot switch. Also, never operate
the machine if the foot switch has been
fixed in place, for example, by tying it
down. This will cause misoperation, and
is dangerous.
