PREPARATION
2.1 - PREPARING THE BASIC UNIT
Before use, make sure the voltage indicated on the rating plate underneath the device corresponds to the mains voltage and the
wiring system complies with the current regulations.
Do not use if the cable is damaged.
Check that the casing is integral and there is no sign of dents or damage.
Make sure the switch (4) is in position 0 (OFF). Plug the power cable into the socket in the device, insert the electric plug in the mains socket,
press position I (ON) on the switch and check that air comes out of the air intake (8). Then press position 0 (OFF) on the switch.
2.2 - PREPARING THE PERFECTA KIT
Please read section 3.2 before using the device.
Proceed as follows to use the Perfecta kit:
- Make sure the atomiser (11) is correctly mounted on the central sleeve in the lower section (12) of the nebuliser.
- The lower section (12) has a graduated scale that shows the approximate amount of liquid inside. The purpose is merely to give an
approximate indication of the contents. Use a graduated syringe to get an accurate dose. Pour the liquid into the tank (Fig. B), keeping
to the dosage specified by your doctor.
Readings must be taken on the graduated scale with the atomiser mounted on the lower section.
- Screw the upper section (10) of the nebuliser onto the base.
- Fit the spacer mask (14) onto the upper section (10) of the nebuliser (Fig. C).
- Connect the lower end of the tube (22) to the nebuliser and the other end to the air intake (8).
- Press position I (ON) on the switch (4).
- During treatment, hold the nebuliser upright in your hand to enable it to work efficiently.
- If the above operations have been performed correctly, atomised spray will come out of the mask.
When used by children, the spacer mask (13) must be placed gently on the face so that it covers the mouth and nose. When used by adults,
it must be placed gently over the mouth to cover it. The nose must remain outside the mask. For the treatment to be effective, you should
breathe slowly and deeply. If the user breathes out through the mouth, the valve on the fitting (14) releases the exhaled air (Fig. D).
Do not obstruct the valve on the fitting during use (Fig. D).
When you have used up all the liquid or wish to interrupt treatment, press (0) (OFF) on the switch.
A small amount of liquid may remain in the nebuliser at the end of the session but this has no importance.
If a small amount of moisture remains inside the air tube at the end of the session, leave the device switched on and allow it to dry by
ventilation.
The presence of liquid inside the tube is the result of water vapour forming under certain environmental conditions.
