Collection tray

The phosphor storage plate scanner is used to
read image data stored on a phosphorus storage
plate and to transfer the data to an imaging soft-
ware (e. g. VisionX) on a computer.
The transport mechanism guides the PSP
through the unit. A laser in the scanner unit scans
the PSP. The scanned data is converted into a
digital image and transferred to the imaging soft-
ware.
After scanning, the PSP runs through the erasure
unit. Image data still present on the PSP is
erased with the aid of bright light.
The PSP is then ejected for re-use.
