XT-301 Operating Instructions
The XT-301 features a patented method of creating ozone by corona discharge, and a
patented air pump.
It can be used for disinfecting water in a 16-oz bottle up to a 5-gallon water tank.
It can also purify food and eliminate surface bacteria and pesticides from the food.
* PLEASE NOTE:
Before you begin operating the XT-301 allow for a warm-up period.
You do this by turning on the machine without the silicone hose attached, and let the unit
blow ozone into the air for 10 minutes. Also, always be sure your check valve connector
piece is pointed in the direction of ozone flowing into your container. The check valve is
the plastic connector piece in the silicone hose. There is an engraved arrow on this valve
and it should be pointing in the direction of the ozone flow.
Placement of the Unit
The ozone generator can be used lying flat on a countertop, or it can be mounted on the
wall by the hook cradles found on the bottom of the unit.
Mounted on the wall the XT-301 has a very thin profile, and takes up very little room.
How to Purify Water
The ozone generator should be placed where the best possible ozone distribution can be
obtained. Purifying water with the XT-301 could not be simpler. Connect the air hose to
the output of the stainless steel ozone nipple just under the timer knob on the top of the
unit. Then connect the bubbling rock to the other end of the hose and place the air rock at
the bottom of a container of water. As the ozone bubbles through the water it will purify
the water. The automatic timer can be set for the 15, 30, 45 minutes or a continuous
setting. When the ozone time period is over the hose and the air rock can be removed, and
the unit turned off.
Here is a timer guide for different sized containers:
1 Quart of water can be purified in about 5 minutes
1 Gallon of water can be purified in about 15 minutes.
5 Gallons of water can be purified in 45 minute to an hour.
When a container needs
less
than the programmed time, simply power off the unit before
the programmed time has expired.
