CHAPTER 3: HARDWARE INSTALLATION
THE DRAM SIMMs
The 486VP supports up to 2 banks of SIMM modules. SIM1 through
SIM8 sockets support 30-pin SIMM modules. SIM9 and SIM10 support
72-pin modules. DRAM speed must be 70ns or 60ns. You can configure
the memory of the 486VP in a variety of ways. The chart below shows
the possible combinations. Jumpers JP22 through JP25 also should be
set accordingly.
