TROUBLE SHOOTING
Valve does not retain air when pump is removed
.
Make sure that the poppet stem is in the closed/up position.
Clear any debris that might be preventing the valve from sealing. This can be accom-
plished by pumping quick bursts of air into the valve with the valve in both closed and
open positions.
Make sure that the lock ring on the valve is tight.
Tube becomes soft after inflation process.
Determine which air chamber is soft.
Make sure the valve is functioning correctly, with no signs of leaking. (See above)
Find the hole in the AIRECELL and patch with the vinyl repair tape.
Floor becomes soft after boat is on the water.
The cooling effect of the water will soften the floor from its initial pressure. Top
off the floor again until the relief valve opens.
Tube is puckered or shows a void when inflated.
The AIRECELL might be misaligned. Deflate the tube(s) and as they are brought
back up on pressure, punch or kick the tube(s) to free the AIRECELL as it inflates. If
this does not fix the problem, deflate the boat, open the zipper and adjust the AIRECELL.
Zipper is difficult to operate.
Use any combination of soap and water to clean and clear the zipper.
Vinyl repair tape does not stick to AIRECELL.
Make sure that the area to be taped is dry and clean. Use alcohol if necessary to
prep the area.
