5.6 Maintenance
5.6.1 Change Engine Oil
[At 50 hours for the first change and at every 500 hours thereafter]
Caution in filling or discharging engine oil
After stopping the engine, wait for 10 to 20 minutes until the
engine oil cools off. Then check the level of the engine oil, or
refill or drain the oil.
Engine oil is very hot and highly pressurized during or just after
the operation. Hot oil could blow out of the tank and can cause
scalding.
Never supply more engine oil than the proper level. Too much
oil could cause white smoke out of the exhaust, and it can cause
damage and accident to engine.
(Procedure)

Loosen the drain valve

located outside of the frame to
drain out the used oil.

When the oil is completely drained, close the drain valve

firmly and refill new engine oil through the engine oil filler

After supplying oil, pull out the oil level gauge

and wipe it
out.

Insert the oil level gauge

again and pull it out to make
sure the oil level is between LOW and HIGH levels. When
the oil level is between both levels, it is normal.
