5.6.11 Clean outside of the Radiator

Oil Cooler
[Every 1,000 hours]
When the fin tubes of a radiator

, an oil cooler
“

are clogged with dust or other foreign materials,
the heat exchange efficiency drops and this will raise coolant temperature and discharge air tem-
perature. These tubes and fins should be cleaned depending on the state of clogged tubes
“

”
even
before maintenance schedule.
This unit is provided with the cover on both sides of the shroud to make it easy to clean both radia-
tor
“

”
and oil cooler
“

”
. Perform the cleaning job according to the following procedures.

Open the front door

of the bonnet.

Remove the covers
“

for cleaning fitted on both sides of the fan shroud and then perform
cleaning job. For protection of fins and tubes of both radiator and oil cooler, never perform high
pressure cleaning work.
