Mounting the damper in a flexible duct
Connect the damper to the internal duct liner using the proper tie-wraps and tape. Slide the
external insulation over the damper, and use a tie-wrap to attach it to the damper. In
unconditioned spaces, it is recommended to insulate the complete damper assembly with only the
motor exposed. Seal the joints with the appropriate tape and sealing spray. Be sure to leave the
motor outside of the insulation and verify that there is no interference with the movement of the
motor shaft.
