Dividing a track
You can divide a track into two tracks by registering an index
mark.

Press MD
E
to select the MD function and
insert an MD.

During play of the track to divide, press MD
E
at the point where you want to divide the track.
The unit enters the pause mode.

Press EDIT repeatedly until "
T.Divide?
" is
displayed, and then press MULTI JOG (ENTER
on the remote control) within 6 seconds.
The unit repeats 3-second playback after the point at which
you pressed MD
E
.

Turn MULTI JOG or press
f

g
to adjust
the point to divide at.
To cancel, press
s
.

Within 1 minute, press MULTI JOG.
"
EDITING
" first, and then "
Complete
" is displayed.

Remove the disc.
"
WRITING
" flashes and the data concerning the contents
of the editing are registered.
•If the track had a title before the division, the title is allocated
to the first one of the two tracks divided.
•A track cannot be divided when the loaded disc already
contains 254 tracks.
Dividing a group
You can divide a group into two groups, each containing a
certain number of tracks.
Example
Dividing group 2 at the point between tracks 4 and 5
1, 2, 3,... : Track numbers
(1), (2), (3), ... : Track numbers within a group
A, B, C, ... : Track titles

group to divide in stop mode.

Group Edit
" is displayed,
and press MULTI JOG (ENTER on the remote
control) within 6 seconds.

displayed, and press MULTI JOG within 6
seconds.

Turn MULTI JOG or press

" to divide the group at the
point between tracks 4 and 5.
