the Keygroup’s setting, not the Part’s setting, even if the Program has been assigned to
the Part.
Select “AB” or “CD” to use the FX with stereo inputs.
Snd(dB):
This sets the FX Send level of each Sample.
In addition to assigning a Drum Sample to an FX Send, you must also configure the FX
processors to use the FX. See “Using FX” on page 78 for more information.
Mute:
(OFF, 1–64) This is used to add notes to Mute Groups. When a note in a Mute
Group is played, any other notes in the same Mute Group are muted.
Poly:
(1–64) This sets the maximum number of voices for each note.
Pressing the WINDOW button while the “Mute” parameter is selected opens the Mute
Group window, shown below, which lists all of the notes assigned to the Mute Group
selected at the top of the Window.

If you want to clear a Sample assignment, select the note to which the Sam-
ple is assigned, select the “Smpl” parameter, then rotate the JOG dial fully
counterclockwise until the parameter displays a blank space.
Similar to Keygroup Programs, up to four drum Samples can be layered by using Zones.
The layout of the ZONE, ZnMOD, and ZnTUNE pages is the same as that for Keygroup
Programs, except instead of being able to select Keygroups in the upper-right corner of
the page, you can select drum notes. See “Configuring Keygroup Programs” on page 51
for more information.
Configuring Program Modulation
Modulation for Keygroup and Drum Programs can be configured as follows.

On the KGRP page (ASSIGN page for Drum Programs), select the “Tune” or
“Lvl” parameter, and then press the WINDOW button.
The Program Modulation window appears, as shown below. The Program Modulation
window for Drum Programs is the same except that “Kg” is changed to “Key.”
There are more than 30 modulation items that can be configured as either sources or des-
tinations. One source can be assigned to multiple destinations, and multiple sources can
be assigned to one destination. Modulation combination is set for the entire Program,
although you can set the modulation depth for Keygroups individually.

Mod:
Selects the assignable modulators.
Source:
Selects the modulation source. The following sources can be selected: MOD
