Commissioning
Only put the appliance into operation after assem-
bly has been completed.
The figure printed on the left of the text
refers to the illustration on commissio-
ning on page 3.
Setting the working depth
Only with the motor switched off and the blade
shaft at a standstill.
Set the working depth of the blade shaft on
the dial.
Positions on the dial:
N
= neutral
➜
operating/transport position
1 - 6
= setting of the working depths
With new blades, set the dial to position 2 at
the most.
Select the working depth depending upon the
wear of the blades and the state of the lawn. If the
motor does not pull through or even stops in aera-
ting, the wrong working depth has been selected.
Turn the dial back to the lowest working depth.
The motor must turn evenly.
Adjustment level per step: 3 mm
Current connection
Plug the appliance connection line into the
switch/plug combination and secure it with
the cable relief.
The loop of the mains wire must be long
enough for the cable relief to be able to sli-
de from one side to the other.
Switching the motor on
Do not start the appliance if it is standing in
long grass.
Press the switch-on button of the
switch/plug combination.
Pull the safety handle against the bar and
keep hold - the safety handle does not
engage. Let go of the switch-on button.
Place the connection line safely on a path
or the area already aerated.
Switching the motor off
Let go of the safety handle.
The safety handle automatically returns to the zero
position.

After the motor has been switched off,
the blade shaft continues to rotate for a
few seconds - therefore, do not put your
hands under the appliance straight
away.
Checking by an expert is necessary:
a) after hitting an obstacle
b) if the motor comes to an immediate standstill
c) if the blades are bent (do not straighten)
d) if the motor shaft is bent (do not straighten)
e) if the toothed belts are defective
f) if the wire leading to the motor is damaged.
Storage of the appliance
Store the appliance in a dry room - allow the motor
to cool off beforehand.
To save space in storage, the upper handle can be
tipped upwards.
For this, unscrew the butterfly nuts about 6 revolu-
tions.
Attention:
Do not jam the electric wire when pivo-
ting.
Maintenance and care
Pull the plug out before any maintenan-
ce and cleaning work.
Clean the appliance after each use.
Never splash with water.
Penetrating water can destroy the switch/plug
combination and the electric motor.
Clean the appliance with a spatula, cloth etc.
Risk of injury on the blade shaft. Wear
protective gloves.
