11. Fault Finding Plan
7
Problem:
Button operated but the red “Power on” LED
does not light up
Solution:
Check the fuse on the control device (20A)
Check the fuse on the power cable (25A)
Examine cables for insulation faults or breaks
if fuse is ok
Check the supply voltage on the 4-terminal plug of
the control unit
Is there a red cable link on the 4-terminal plug
between No. 1 and No. 2? (See illustration no. 20)
if supply voltage ok
Send in control unit incl. Remote control for che-
cking
Problem:
Button operated
red LED “Power on” alight, no functions can
be called up via the remote control
Solution:
Push any key on the remote control.
The green LED in the remote control must be
visible
If the green LED is not visible or is weak
Change the batteries in the remote control (see
10.4).
If the green LED is ok
Carry out the “Learning function” (see 7.4) first
Function still not ok
Send in remote control incl. control unit for check-
ing
Problem:
Buttonoperated
Red LED “Power on” flashing every 0.5 sec-
onds
Solution:
E.C.S. control unit has not found the correct code
from the remote control. Carry out the “Learning
function” (see 7.4)
Problem:
Button operated
The red “Power on” LED lights up
The system switches off immediately after
calling up a function on the remote control or
during a function sequence.
No more functions can be called up via the
remote control
Solution:
The supply voltage on the E.C.S.-control device is
too low.
Charge on-board batteries or
exchange for an-
other battery.
If battery capacity is o.k.
Check the supply cable for contact resistances.
Check power feed cable (4 terminal plug connec-
tor on the E.C.S. control device and clamping
points on the on-board battery)
Problem:
Steady does not lower or raise when the man-
ual function button is pressed (1,2,3,4)
Solution:
Repeat procedure:
If unsuccessful follow the following points:
Check the complete drive unit for mechanical
damage. Check concentricity of the spindle. If the
drive unit is rusty or heavily soiled, clean this com-
pletely and grease.
Do not clean drive units using a high pressure
cleaner!
