Meaning of the symbols on the
equipment
Important!
Engines generate carbon monoxide,
an odourless, colourless, toxic gas.
If carbon monoxide is inhaled, it can
cause nausea, loss of consciousness
or death.
Start the engine and let it run in the
open air.
Do not start the engine or let it run in
closed rooms, even if doors or win-
dows are open.
Read the operating instructions be-
fore starting operation!
Fuel and fuel vapours are extremely
highly inflammable and explosive.
Starting the engine gives rise to
sparks.
Sparks can ignite flammable gases in
the vicinity.
Flammable objects such as leaves,
grass, etc. can ignite.
Important – Danger of injury!
Keep your hands and feet away from
the cutting tools.
Important – Danger of burns!
Running engines generate heat. Parts
of the engine, especially the exhaust,
get extremely hot.
Check the oil level.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Only use the engine if it is in perfect technical
condition
■
Do not deactivate safety and protective de-
vices
■
Wear ear defenders.
■
Start and operate the engine only in the open
air; operation in enclosed spaces is forbid-
den, even if doors and windows are open.
■
Do not operate the engine if you are under
the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication
■
Children, or other people who are not familiar
with the instructions for use, are not allowed
to use the equipment.
■
Comply with the local regulations on mini-
mum age of people operating the machine
■
Heed the country-specific regulations for the
operating times of chain saws
■
Always comply with the safety instructions in
the operating instructions of the equipment in
addition.

The engine exhaust gases generated by
this product contain chemicals that, ac-
cording to the research findings of the
US federal state California, cause can-
cer, birth defects or damage to the re-
productive organs.
