Operation
2. Press the safety button (07/1) and hold (07/
a).
3. Pull the motor switch bracket (07/2) towards
the handlebar (07/3) (07/b). The motor and
mower mechanism are started.
4. Release the safety button (07/1) and hold the
motor switch bracket (07/2).
NOTE
The motor switch bracket does not lock
in place. Hold it tight against the handle-
bar during the entire working period.
Stopping the engine
1. Release the motor switch bracket (07/2). It
automatically returns to the initial position
(07/c).
2. Wait for the mower mechanism to come to a
standstill.
3. Switch off the appliance: Turn the safety key
to 0 and remove it.
CAUTION!
Danger of lacerations
Danger of lacerations when reaching in-
to the running mower mechanism.

Wait until the mower mechanism
has stopped.

Before maintenance, care and
cleaning work: Switch off the appli-
ance and remove the safety key.

Starting and stopping the wheel drive

NOTE
The wheel drive can only be started with
the motor running.
Switching on the wheel drive
1. Switch on the appliance and start the motor.
2. Press the gear engagement bar (08/1)
against the handlebar (08/2) and hold (08/a).
The gear engagement does not lock in place.
Stopping the wheel drive
1. Release (08/b) the gear engagement (08/1).
It automatically returns to its initial position.

The driving speed of the lawnmower can be step-
lessly varied via the lever.
Increasing the speed
1. Move the lever (09/1) in the direction (09/a).
Decreasing the speed
1. Move the lever (09/1) in the direction (09/b).

Mowing with grass collector (10, 11)
The appliance can be operated with and without
grass collector.
Attaching the grass collector
1. Make sure that the appliance switched off
and the mower mechanism has come to a
standstill.
2. Raise the impact flap (10/1) (10/a).
3. Hook the grass collector (10/2) into the hold-
ers (10/b).
4. Release the impact flap (10/1).
Removing and emptying the grass collector
CAUTION!
Danger of lacerations

to the running mower mechanism.

Only remove the grass collector
when the mower mechanism has
come to a standstill.
1. Switch off the appliance: Turn the safety key
to 0 and remove it.
2. Raise the impact flap (10/1).
3. Lift the grass collector (10/2) out of the hold-
ers and take off to the rear.
4. Empty the grass collector.
5. Clean the exhaust holes of the fill level indi-
cator (11/1).
6. Attach the grass collector (see above).
Checking the fill level
The fill level indicator (11/1) is pressed upwards
by the air stream when mowing (11/a). If the
grass collector (11/2) is full, the fill level indicator
(11/1) lies on the grass collector (11/b). The
grass collector must be emptied.
NOTE
When emptying the grass collector, also
clean the discharge holes of the fill level
indicator so they keep functioning prop-
erly.
