Alarm Lock’s new PDL3300 Series digital lock is a cylindrical-based door lock that includes a "Door Ajar" feature, allow-
ing an audible warning should the door remain open beyond a programmed period of time. In addition, a relay can be
activated by a Door Ajar event, allowing the activation of an external device, such as a siren or a camera. The PDL3300
includes an HID compatible ProxCard
®
reader.
The PDL3300 is based upon the existing PDL3000 lock design (see WI1021 for more information), with modifications to
accommodate new features:
1.
Door Ajar Sensor White Wires
: Monitor the status of a Door Sensor (a normally closed magnetic reed switch
that when closed indicates a closed door, and when open indicates an open door). Door Sensor is enabled at the
factory, and can be disabled by physically disconnecting the two white wires from the door switch and program-
ming

, "Disable Door Ajar Monitoring". If the door is held open (in the "Door Ajar" state) for more
than approximately 25 seconds, the lock will silence and go back to sleep. However, the lock will wake up upon a
door closure in order to log the closure event (see "New Door Events" below).
2.
New Door Events
: When the monitored door remains open after a pre-programmed length of time, a "Door Ajar"
event is logged. When the door is closed again, a "Door Closure" event is logged as well.
3.
New Programming Functions
: New functions can be enabled via the keypad, as follows:
•
Audible Sounder on Door Ajar
: When the magnetic reed switch is held open beyond the "Door Ajar Trip
Time" (default is 20 seconds), the sounder will activate.
•
Activate Relay on Door Ajar
: When the magnetic reed switch is held open beyond the "Door Ajar Trip
Time" (default is 20 seconds), the relay will close for 2 seconds. (Specifications for relay)
•
Door Ajar Time Duration
: Specifies the amount of time for an open magnetic reed switch to trigger a Door
Ajar event, and, if programmed, activating the sounder or relay.
•
One Time Only for Group 3 Users
: (Implemented in all new Trilogy T3 locks starting with ETDL V36c).
When enabled, specifies that all User Codes assigned to Group 3 will be permitted access for one time only.
Once access is granted, the User is then disabled, disallowing future access to the secured door. Unless re-
enabled by entering Program Mode, the user must present a valid proximity card and/or enter a valid User
Code (at the keypad) to allow access. Re-enable the User in one of three ways: (a) In Program Mode, en-
