BEFORE FIRST USE
• Unpack the unit carefully and remove all packaging materials and retain for future use.
Warning!
Packaging materials are not a toy. Children should not play with the packaging materials, as they pose
a risk of swallowing and suffocation!
• Check for the presence of all parts and for transport damage. In case of damages or incomplete delivery, please
contact your dealer (- Warranty).
• Place the appliance on a stable, level and heat-resistant surface.
• Open the water tank lid (1).
• Fill the water tank (3) with fresh and cold water until the
max
marking on the water level indicator (4) is reached.
• Close the water tank lid (1) and make sure that the paper filter holder (11) is correctly inserted (- Cleaning and
care) and that the swing-out filter holder compartment (8) is in closed position.
• Place the glass carafe (10) on the warm plate (5).
• Connect the power plug (6) to a suitable electrical outlet.
• Press the on/off switch (7) once to switch on the appliance. The operating light (7) of the on/off switch lights up
red, indicating that the brewing process has started.
• Let the appliance operate until the water tank (3) is empty.
• Press the on/off switch (7) again. The operating light (7) inside the on/off switch turns off.
• Let the coffee maker cool for at least five minutes between brewing cycles.
• Remove the glass carafe (10) from the warm plate (5). Hold it only by the handle.
Danger of burns!
• Discard the water from the first 3 boiling cycles to remove any residues from the manufacturing process.
• Clean the appliance afterwards (- Cleaning and care).
Note:
Due to the manufacturing process, the appliance may emit some odor when switched on for the
first time. This is normal and does not indicate any defect or hazard.
OPERATION
Brewing coffee
Note:
To brew coffee with this appliance paper filter (size 1x4) is required. Paper filter is not provided
and must be purchased separately. Do not use this appliance without paper filter in place.
Caution!
• Before switching on the coffee maker, always fill it with water. We recommend the use of softened
or filtered water to avoid the build-up of scales.
• Never let the water level exceeding the
max
marking to avoid hot water spilling out during boiling.
Danger of burns!
• Do not brew coffee when the water level is below the minimum marking of 3 small cups.
• Open the water tank lid (1) and fill the proper amount of water into the water tank (3), according to the number of desired
cups of coffee. The number of cups is displayed on the water level indicator (4). You can brew up to 10 large or 12 small
cups of coffee.
• Close the water tank lid (1).
• Pull the filter holder compartment grip (9) to open the swing-out filter holder compartment (8).
• Make sure that the paper filter holder (11) is inserted correctly, in order to fit into the grooving of the filter holder
compartment (8) (- Cleaning and care).
Note:
To brew coffee with this appliance paper filter (size 1x4) is required. The paper filter is not
provided and must be purchased separately.
Do not use this appliance without paper filter in place

• Insert a paper filter size 1x4 (not provided) into the paper filter holder (11). In order to prevent tearing and folding, first fold
down the perforated sides of the filter.
