BEFORE FIRST USE
Note:
Due to the manufacturing process, the appliance may emit a slight burning odor when switched
on for the first time. This is normal and does not indicate any defect or hazard.

OPERATION
Toasting
1. Insert bread slices of regular size in the bread slots (1).
2. Connect the power plug to a suitable electrical outlet. The appliance is ready for
toasting now.
3. Select the desired toast level with the electronic browning control (3) (fig. 2). Choose
among levels

to
6
according to your preference:

Notes:
•
It is recommended to use browning level
3
to toast bread when using the toaster for the first time.
•
The ideal browning level depends on bread type, slice thickness and toasting time. Please try
several times to find your favorite setting.
•
Use a lower setting when toasting a single bread slice.
4. Press the toast lever (7) downward until it locks in place. The indicator of the
CANCEL
button (6) lights up red
to indicate that the toasting process has started.
Note:
The toast lever (7) will not lock into place unless the appliance is connected to the electrical outlet.
5. When the set toasting level is reached, the toast lever (7) pops up and the bread is raised from the bread slots (1)
automatically. Meanwhile, the red indicator of the
CANCEL
button (6) goes off.
Toasting of deep frozen bread:
1. Place bread slices in the bread slots (1).
2. Connect the power plug to a suitable electrical outlet.
3. Set the electronic browning control (3) at the desired defrosting time.
4. Press the toast lever (7) downward until it locks in place, also press the
DEFROST
button (5). The indicator of
the
CANCEL
button (6) and the
DEFROST
button (5) light up red to indicate that the defrost process has started.
5. When the set defrosting time is reached, the toast lever (7) pops up. The red indicators of the
CANCEL
button (6) and
DEFROST
(5) turn off.
