Replacing the bulb in the underwater light
The halogen bulb in the underwater lamp
normally has a service life of 2,500 - 3,000 hours,
after which it should be replaced as follows.
Before replacing the bulb, ensure that the tub
is completely empty and that the main switch
is set to OFF.
a) Using a
fl
at-head screwdriver, remove the
surround from the lamp (take care not to damage
the surface of the tub).
b) Insert the screwdriver at several points and
gently lever the glass cover out of its housing in
the lamp.
c) Remove the bulb and carefully insert the
new bulb. When handling the new bulb, use the
cardboard box to ensure that it does not come
into contact with the
fi
ngers.
d) Check that the O-ring seal for the glass cover is
undamaged, and replace the O-ring if necessary.
If it is indamaged, clean the O-ring and its seat
carefully before replacing in position.
e) Re
fi
t the sealing ring to the glass cover and
replace the cover by pressing gently into its
housing in the lamp. The surface of the glass cover
should be
fl
ush with the surrounding surface.
f) Replace the lamp surround by pressing into
position.
