Outlets Engine Room
Supplies 120-volt AC electrical current to the engine
compartment ground fault interrupter (GFI) electrical outlet.
Water Heater
Supplies 120-volt AC electrical current directly to the water
heater circuit. The water temperature is automatically
controlled by a thermostat in the water heater control panel.
Before operation, you must have water in the water heater
(see the water heater manual for more information).
Microwave
Supplies 120-volt current to the circuit microwave.
Battery Charger
Supplies electrical current directly to the automatic battery
charger. The battery charger charges and maintains the 12-volt
batteries simultaneously when activated. It is fully automatic
and equipped with an amp meter to monitor charging. See the
battery charger manual for more information.
Charging also can be monitored by using the volt meter in the
cabin DC breaker panel. To monitor the batteries, activate the
charger and turn the engine and generator battery switches on.
Select each battery with the test switch located on the panel
below the DC volt meter and read the voltage on the volt
meter for each battery. If the batteries are in good condition
and charging properly, the volt meter will indicate between
12 and 14.5 volts. If the reading is below 12 volts, then the
battery is not accepting a charge or the charger is not working
properly.
The wires that supply DC charging current to the batteries
are protected by an internal fuse in the battery charger and
three inline fuses, one for each battery output wire, located
near each battery. The external fuses protect the DC charging
circuit from the batteries to the charger. The internal fuses in
the charger protect the DC charging circuit from the charger
to the batteries.
Outlets
Supplies 120-volt AC electrical current to the cabin ground
fault interrupter (GFI) electrical outlets.
GFI OUTLETS DO NOT PROVIDE 100% PROTECTION
FROM ELECTRIC SHOCK. EVEN THOUGH GROUND
FAULT INTERRUPTERS PROVIDE PROTECTION
bY REDUCING EXPOSURE TIME FROM LINE
TO GROUND SHOCK HAZARDS, IT IS STILL
POSSIbLE TO RECEIVE AN ELECTRIC SHOCK
FROM DEFECTIVE APPLIANCES OR POWER
TOOLS AND MISUSED ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT.
TV (Optional)
Supplies 120-volt AC electrical current directly to the TV.
Refrigerator
Supplies 120-volt electrical current directly to the optional
refrigerator when 120-volt power is available and chosen
over the 12-volt power supply. See the refrigerator manual
for more information.
Spare
Reserved for additional AC equipment.
Start/Stop
A momentary rocker switch that activates or shuts down
the optional generator when the unit is not equipped with a
separate control panel. To start the generator, press and hold
the start position on the switch until the generator starts, then
immediately release the switch. To stop the generator, press
and hold the stop position until the generator completely
stops, then release the switch.
Preheat
A momentary rocker switch that activates the preheat or glow
plug circuit for diesel generators used for cold starting when
the unit is not equipped with a separate control panel. To
activate the preheat circuit, press and hold the switch for the
time period specified by the generator manufacturer. Release
the switch and immediately start the generator.
Note: The Start/Stop and Preheat switches will be
disconnected and in reserve if the optional
generator installed in your boat is equipped with
a separate control panel.
