To exit the Scan, press the button ‘M’ once and switch this function off with ‘

Note: When the Scan function is activated it is not possible to transmit or to change
menu settings.
3.8. Squelch
This function suppresses the receiver noise when no signal is received. Furthermore
the open squelch is the stop criterion for the scanning.
To adjust the squelch press the button ‘M’ four times. On the right side of the screen
blinks, 59 ‘. Select the sensitivity of the squelch from 0 to 6 with ‘
’ and ’
’ . On step
1 even a weak signal will be heard. On step 6 all weaker signals are suppressed and
only strong signals are heard. At 0, the squelch is off.
3.9. Key Tone
When this function is activated the radio beeps, when buttons are pressed.
To switch, press the menu button ‘M’ five times. On the right side of the screen blinks

toggle the Key Tone on (‘On’) or off (‘OF’).
3.10. Roger Beep
Sends a tone sequence at the end of a transmission.

3.11. Switching the TX Power
The TX power of this device has two selectable stages.
To select, press the button ‘M’ seven times. Right on the display blinks ‘HL’. With the

’ toggle the TX power between high (‘On’) and low (‘OF’).
