Remote login test
Overview
This test checks whether the management communication channel via the DCC bytes is
operational on the link.

Test setup
Establish a test setup similar to
Figure 8-1, “Remote login test” (p. 8-4)
.
Be sure that the MS DCC on the line ports of both nodes is set to
Enabled
. For the 1645
AMC node this is default.

Remark
: ode A is expected to be a 1645 AMC node.
Procedure
Proceed as follows to test the DCC communication:

Check whether you can see the remote node B on the DCC eighbor list.

Do a remote login to node B, and watch the name of node B appear on top of the
