Note:
Connect the generator to wire-wrap terminals RXP and RXN if timing wire-
wrap adapter is used
Procedure
Note:
EML-USM — Select the “Synchronization” option from the “Views” menu.
........................................................................................................................................................................................................................
1
Select a reference clock for each timing reference block (T0) in the following way:
........................................................................................................................................................................................................................
2
Select the timing reference block
........................................................................................................................................................................................................................
3
Select “Synchronization” -> “Timing Source Configuration.” A new window is opened.
........................................................................................................................................................................................................................
4
Click on “Choose.” A new window is opened allowing the T.P. search procedure.
........................................................................................................................................................................................................................
5
Select the physical SPI/PPI board termination point value (rack, subrack, board, port).
The example given in the following assumes the presence of two reference clocks:
•
Clock derived from a STM-n port (example r1srsl34/port#1-OpS).
•
External clock (1.5 MHz/2 MHzT3#A or B) from the power supply (PSF320) board
(A or B).
........................................................................................................................................................................................................................
6
Select the first of the above listed reference clocks and give Priority “1”
(“Synchronization” -> “Timing Source Configuration” -> “Priority” and click on “OK”.)
........................................................................................................................................................................................................................
7
Repeat the same sequence for the other timing reference block (T0) using the reference
clock [2] and giving priority “2.”
........................................................................................................................................................................................................................
8
Remove the STM-n optical cable.
........................................................................................................................................................................................................................
9
Check on the craft terminal that the signal T0 is extracted from the timing reference Block
with priority (2) (solid line is visible).l
