SSU FCR demerits
The "Inactive SSU Unlock" demerit value of 275 is supported on the 3600 MainStreet
and 3600+ MainStreet nodes. This demerit value is raised on the inactive shelf and
indicates that the inactive SSU (or Timing card) is not locked (aligned) with the active
SSU (or Timing card). These demerits will help to prevent an activity switch before
alignment is achieved between the shelves.
An activity switch before the inactive/active SSUs are aligned could cause the
3600 MainStreet multishelf peripheral to go out of service in the worst case.
On the 3600+ MainStreet node, an activity switch before the inactive and active
Timing cards are aligned could cause all the UCS and HSA cards to reset.

Lucent 5620 Network Manager reconcile required after node upgrade
It is assumed that all 3600 MainStreet and 3600+ MainStreet nodes will be fully
reconciled by the Alcatel
–
Lucent 5620 Network Manager after the node has been
upgraded to Release 9.0 from any previous node release for which conversion is
supported.
12)
Reset of DSP cards after upgrade
To cover the instances where DSP cards must be reset to enable new functionality, an
alarm indicating that a maintenance reset of the card must be scheduled has been
added
−
the text is "Maintenance Reset Req'd". The alarm is raised when Release 9.0
becomes active, and the subcode of the alarm is the slot number. As well, DNIC,
2B1Q and 27LC2 cards equipped with DPM modules must be reset after the Release
9.0 upgrade to force the download of new DSP firmware. This does not apply to the
DPM3 module (supported on the 27LC3 card).
13)
GFC support in the 3600 MainStreet multishelf system
In prior releases, GFC Order Wire could not be used in 3600 MainStreet multishelf
systems because of architectural restrictions of the product. This continues to be the
case in Release 9.0. In addition, many of the new features introduced on the GFC3
cannot be used on 3600 MainStreet multishelf systems for the same architectural
reasons. A list of these features follows:

Order
Wire

Digital Tone Test
•
