CPU4 Module Status
Indicators
When the module is installed, verify the status of the LED indicators as described in
Table 14.
Table 13. PSAX Stratum 3–4 Module Status Indicators
Module
Indicator
Color
Description
FAIL
Red
Indicates the Stratum 3–4 module is not functioning.
ACTIVE
Green
Indicates the Stratum 3–4 module is functioning properly. In a
redundant configuration, the green LED identifies which of the two
stratum modules is providing system synchronization. The green
LED on the redundant stratum module (in standby mode) is not illu-
minated.
LOS
(Clock Loss)
Yellow
Indicates a loss of signal from the external composite clock syn-
chronization source. This LED is operational only when the Syn-
chronization Source field (on the Stratum Configuration window) is
set to one of the following values:
CompositeClock
,
T1BITS
,
E1ETSI
, or
CompositeClockDS0A
. This LED is not operational
when the Synchornization field is set to a value of
Freerun
or
LineTiming
.
UNLOCKED
Yellow
Indicates the Stratum 3–4 is not locked to a reference signal.
LAMP TEST
–
Tests the operational status of the LEDs.

Module
Indicator
Color
Description
FAIL
Red
Indicates that the module is in the process of booting (illumi-
nates for several seconds) or is not functioning properly (illu-
minated continuously).
ACTIVE
Green
Indicates that the module is functioning as the primary
(active) CPU4 module.
LOAD
Yellow
Indicates that the module is initializing.
STBY
Green
Indicates that the module is functioning as the standby CPU4
module in a redundant configuration.
ETHERNET1
LINK
Green
Indicates that an Ethernet carrier signal is detected from the
Ethernet network at the
ETHERNET1
connector.
ETHERNET1
TX/RX
Green
Indicates that Ethernet data is detected at the
ETHERNET1
connector.
ETHERNET2
LINK
Green
Indicates that an Ethernet carrier signal is detected from the
Ethernet network at the
ETHERNET2
connector (currently
not operational; for future enhancements).
ETHERNET2
TX/RX
Green
Indicates that Ethernet data is detected at the
ETHERNET2
connector (currently not operational; for future enhance-
ments).
