To remove a DC PEM:
Step 1
Turn off power at the appropriate remote source.
Step 2
Through the safety cover opening, flip the ON/OFF switch on the PEM front panel to the
OFF position.
Step 3
Make sure the appropriate Power Supply LED on the SF/CPM is unlit.
Step 4
Loosen the captive screws and remove the safety cover.
Step 5
Disconnect the VDC and RTN cables.
Step 6
Loosen the captive screws and slide the DC PEM out of the slot (
).
Step 7
If you do not replace the PEM immediately, install a blank panel to prevent excess dust
accumulation and to help control airflow and electromagnetic interference.
