Mulch and Mowing
Using the lawn mower without the 45L hard
catcher attached and with the mulching block
(30) inserted, the lawn mower will mulch as it cuts
as the grass clippings are distributed back onto
the grass surface without leaving piles of grass
clippings.
WARNING:
Ensure the motor is NOT
operating when undertaking this task.
1. Remove the 45L hard catcher (7) by lifting the rear discharge guard (10)
then lifting up and releasing the 45L hard catcher (7) from the catcher
attachment brackets (11). (Fig I)
2. With the rear discharge guard (10) raised (Fig H), insert the mulching
block (30) into the rear discharge chute by pushing it in, and slightly
tilting it to the left to allow the right hand side of the mulching block (30)
to go in the chute past the side bolts. Then secure by ensuring the bottom
tab of the mulching block (30) clicks into the hole on the bottom of the
rear discharge chute. (Fig K)
Release / close the rear discharge guard (10).
Cutting Height Adjustment
WARNING:
Stop the engine and unplug
the spark plug before any repairs or
maintenance operations.
This mower has one lever to easily adjust the
cutting height. There are 8 height settings,
from 25-70mm.
1. To increase the cutting height pull the 8 height
adjustment lever (12) out and move it up a notch,
towards the handlebar. (Fig L)
2. To decrease the cutting height pull the 8 height
adjustment lever (12) out and move it down a
notch, towards the engine. (Fig L)
3. After adjustment, ensure the lever is fully
located in the selected notch.
