Removing the Fixed and Moving Clamping Jaw Facings
The jaw facings can be removed to achieve a
greater clamping range, or for replacement if worn
or damaged.
1. Both the fixed and moving jaw facings (12) can
removed by prying off using a flat screwdriver
or something similar (Fig AE).
2. Before removing the fixed jaw facing, remove
the 2 x plastic grommets from the opposite side
of the jaws (Fig AF) as these will come off when
the connection pins disengage on the facing.
This is not required when removing the moving
jaw facing.
NOTE:
When the jaw facings are removed the
connection pins holding the jaw facing in place
will disengage (Be careful not to loose these).
Maintenance
• Never use water or chemical cleaners to clean the portable
clamping Jaws.
Use soapy water or a mild detergent.
• Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Always store your portable clamping jaws in
a dry place, out of the reach of children and do not allow use by persons
unfamiliar with it.
• Never store the clamping stand out in the elements.
• When not in use, fold up the portable clamping jaws for easier storage
ensuring it is covered and is protected from dust, moisture etc.
