- Fitting the parallel guide onto the planer (See
Fig. D4)
Align and insert the parallel guide locking knob
(9) through the hole on the vertical part of the
angle bracket (7d) on the parallel guide (7), and
then insert into the hole located at the side of
the planer head. Firmly tighten the parallel guide
locking knob (9) by turning it clockwise.
NOTE:
The parallel guide (7) should be fitted on
the left side of the planer head.

Adjusting the parallel guide (See Fig. D5)
Loosen the locking screw (7b) by turning it
anti-clockwise and slide the parallel guide (7)
forwards or backwards to the desired position.
Then securely tighten the locking screw (7b) by
turning it clockwise.
5. Rebate guide
The rebate guide (14) allows the user to set any
rebate depth from 0 to 11mm. For best results,
it is important that the blade (20) be properly
aligned with the front base. The width of the
rebate is controlled by the parallel guide (7).
- Fitting the rebate guide onto the planer (See
Fig. E1)
Align and insert the rebate guide locking knob
(13) through the slot on the rebate guide (14),
and then insert into the hole on the right side of
the planer head. Firmly tighten the rebate guide
locking knob (13) by turning it clockwise.
- Adjusting the rebate depth (See Fig. E2)
Place the planer on a flat board, loosen the
rebate guide locking knob (13) by turning it anti-
clockwise, and slide the rebate guide (14) up and
down to set the desired rebate depth by aligning
