Mechanical Mounting Details
9.1.
Position of mounting rails
Always position the mounting rails for a module
parallel to one another.
Position the rails either horizontally or at a right
angle (parallel to the roof inclination, upper edge is
horizontal).
Select the proper length for the rails so that both
fastening points of the opposite module sides are
attached to the same rail or combine two rails with
a connector.
Always position the mounting rails at right angles to
the module side which will be clamped or bolted.

Configuration of the clamps for clamp mounting
Attach at least two clamps per mounting edge (long
or short side).
Attach all clamps in such a way that they are fully in
contact with and within the side of the module
frame. Be sure to avoid having clamps that extend
outside of the module frames.
Attach all clamps to a module symmetrically so that
all clamps are the same distance from the nearest
module corner. Any exceptions to this rule will be
explicitly noted.
Please also refer to Ch. 5.8, 'Visually appealing installation'.

clamping to the long side (permissible for certain load levels);

side.
9.3.
Mounting with clamps
Use clamps suitable for framed aleo modules that firmly
attach the module to the substructure and distribute the load
over the entire surface of the module frame. Avoid other types
of clamping where the load is only distributed over a small
area of the module.
