Decommissioning
WARNING
Proceed with care when disassembling the
modules of a photovoltaic system. Old or
defect solar modules can also generate
dangerous voltages even with low light
conditions.
Most of the guidelines concerning the
installation of aleo modules also apply to
their disassembly. Therefore, please refer
particularly to Ch. 6.2, 'Precautionary
measures'.
Before disassembling solar modules, switch
off the current in the module string or, if
necessary, the entire photovoltaic generator.
Above all, please heed the warnings and
guidelines in Ch. 6.2.2, 'Electrical pre-
cautionary measures'.
If you would like to continue using the modules at a different
location, please also refer to Ch. 6.1, 'Storing, transporting
and unpacking modules'.
11.1.

NOTICE
Please properly dispose of aleo modules when they
are no longer in use.

modules as household waste.

Taking Back Scheme
aleo solar is a member of the PV Cycle Association A.I.S.B.L.
The members of PV Cycle have setup a voluntary return and
recycling programme for solar modules with a network of
collection points at dealers, manufacturers, and/or installers.
aleo solar has also setup a collection point at its plant in
Prenzlau.
At participating return points, you can return your modules for
disposal free of charge. If your modules are located more than
50 km from the nearest collection point, then PV Cycle can
arrange for up to 25 units to be collected free of charge.
Containers can also be provided for large-scale construction,
renovation, and demolition projects.
Please contact PV Cycle directly to coordinate packaging and
collection.
