Parameters of aleo Modules
Detailed information on the electrical and mechanical
properties of aleo modules can be found in the datasheets for
the respective module type. Information about the electrical
parameters under standard test conditions (STC) can also be
found on the rear side of aleo modules ([25], [26], [27]).
The standard test conditions are:
Size
Value
Radiation density
1000 W/m²
Radiation spectrum
AM 1.5 global
Cell temperature
25 °C
NOTICE
Under special circumstances, aleo modules may
generate higher voltages or currents than under the
STC, e.g. in the event of strong solar irradiation, low
ambient temperature, and reflections from snow.
When determining the requirements for the other
components of your PV system (e.g. inverters,
connection cables etc.), multiply the open circuit
voltage and the short-circuit current under STC by a
safety factor.
For aleo modules with mono or poly-crystalline
cells, use a safety factor of at least 1.25 ([28]) for
currents and voltages. This applies for the dimen-
sioning of the electrical components as well as for
the maximum expected system voltage that should
not exceed 1000 V. Regional regulations may
stipulate a different factor.
