1.1 Unpacking the unit
Ensure that the packing is undamaged and inspect for transport damage. If you find transport damage, inform
the transport company immediately. The transport company is liable for any damage incurred during transport.
1.2 Connecting the unit
The unit is supplied ready for operation. You can work with the unit immediately after inserting a suitable carbide
milling cutter.
Electrical connection 230 V ~ 6A 50/60 Hz (other countries 110 V)
The 1800 Watt motor has a safety switch. If the plug is pulled out of is the power fails while the motor is running,
the switch assumes the “OFF” position.
Attention:
When changing the tool and fitting accessories, always pull out the mains plug in
order to avoid accidents.

Milling cutters
The unit is designed so that milling cutters conforming to DIN 6527 with a length of 85 mm and Ø 12 mm can be
used.
Select the appropriate milling cutter on the basis of the material being worked. See our range. Use only solid-
carbide milling cutters Ultra-fine-grain in premium quality. HSS-milling cutters are not appropriate.
Tip for use:
Shaft milling cutters of Ø 12 mm are frequently used in machine tools in many companies. This type of milling
cutter is often only worn at the front and can still be used in our KFH and KFT Devices on the longitudinal side.
You save on high tool costs.

2.1 Replacing milling tips
1)
Pull out the mains plug.
2)
Undo the motor holder’s clamping screw using the supplied hexagon socket spanner.
3)
Remove the drive motor. Do not tilt it or use force when doing this.
4)
Lock the milling spindle with the open-ended spanner and at the same time undo the clamping nut using
the other open-ended spanner.
5)
Remove the carbide milling cutter.
Caution: Risk of injury on the cutter’s edges!
6)
Insert a new milling cutter – pay attention to the clamping length, see figure.
7)
Tighten the clamping nut moderately.
8)
Push the motor back into the cleaned retaining hole as far as it will go. Do not tilt.
9)
Tighten the clamping screw moderately with the hexagon socket spanner.
