1.3 General description of functions

The EMA devices are cascadable MPEG encoder and transport stream multiplexer. They generate a personal digital program “bouquet“

in DVB transport stream (TS) format. The output signals are provided via an ASI TS interface and a separately adjustable IP interface.

The signals can be broadcast or fed in the cable TV network by using appropriate modulators.

Depending on the application, the devices hardware is pre-configured. Via user interface the operating parameters can be varied within

a wide range.
