6.  Alternately tap on the coolant inlet and outlet ports of the oil cooler with a suitable driver, no 
more than 1 3/16" in diameter, until the oil cooler is removed from the cover (Figure 7). 

7.  Discard the o-rings and cover seal from the bottom of the oil cooler cover (Figure 8).

8.  If equipped, remove the threaded insert by pushing down on the insert with your finger or 
  tapping with a rubber mallet.  The threaded insert will be reused, the o-ring must be replaced  
  (Figure 9).
