Counterbalance Relief Manifold (See Fig. 1-16)
The counterbalance relief (CBR) manifold houses the
counterbalance valve and the high pressure relief valves.
The counterbalance valve is a load holding valve that
blocks return oil fl ow from the motor in the event supply
pressure drops below a set point in
LINE-OUT
mode. The
counterbalance valve allows oil to free fl ow in the
LINE-
IN
mode through a check valve. The high pressure relief
valves act as an overload relief when supply pressure
exceeds the setting of the valve.
