Step 3.
The operator can move the control lever
to the
LINE-IN
position. If the load is less than
approximately 75% of the maximum line pull, the
operator can begin traveling with the vehicle at the
same time. The winch will wind the load toward the
vehicle as it travels. If the load is nearly the capacity
of the line pull, the operator must move the load close
to the vehicle before beginning to travel.
Step 4.
If the tractor or skidder must travel through
an area with bad traction conditions, the operator
can move the control lever to the
BRAKE-OFF
(DETENT) position. This procedure will permit the
vehicle to move through the bad traction area while
keeping the wire rope tight without pulling the load
at the same time.
