Introduction
This chapter lists the commands that are used to configure RSTP, STP or MSTP. For
information about spanning trees, including configuration procedures, see
Chapter 18,

cisco-interoperability (MSTP)
Use this command to enable/disable Cisco-interoperability for MSTP.
Use this command for MSTP only.
Syntax
cisco-interoperability {enable|disable}
Default
If this command is not used, Cisco interoperability is disabled.

Usage
For compatibility with certain Cisco devices, all devices in the switched LAN running the
AlliedWare Plus
TM
Operating System must have Cisco-interoperability enabled. When the
AlliedWare Plus
TM
Operating System is interoperating with Cisco
,
the only criteria used to
classify a region are the region name and revision level. VLAN to instance mapping is not used
to classify regions when interoperating with Cisco.
