Testing the Virtual LAN
To verify if your network and the devices that are connected to it
support the 802.1q service, the AT-VP504E FXO offers the option to
place the unit in 802.1q mode for a few minutes. This is done by
clicking the Test Virtual LAN button.
In the minutes following the activation of this service, Allied Telesyn
recommends to proceed with actions to validate the communication
with your AT-VP504E FXO devices.
Configuring
Incoming and Out-
going Calls Param-
eters
This section allows you to configure each FXO port of the
AT-VP504E FXO. This includes setting functional parameters such as
location, sound levels, etc. It also allows to define how each FXO port
handles incoming and outgoing calls.
Each FXO section has a master switch (the Enabled check box) to
enable or disable a specific port. When a port is disabled, it cannot
make nor receive calls.
Priority of Signaling
IP Transmission
Priority value for signaling IP transmissions located
in the VLAN field.
Value: Any number between 0 and 7.
Default Value: 0
Priority of Data
Stream IP
Transmission
Priority value for data stream IP transmission
located in the VLAN field.
Value: Any number between 0 and 7.
Default Value: 0

Note:
If you enable the 802.1q service, it could have a major impact on
the network and not necessarily all devices connected to this network
are able to accommodate it. To verify that your network supports the
802.1q service, use the Test Virtual LAN option.
