Small Form Factor Pluggables (XFPs)
The AT-SB4451 line card provides a single XFP port. XFPs are miniature
hot-swappable plug-in transceivers. By selecting the appropriate XFP type, 1
Gbps ports can be matched to the appropriate fibre employed.
The following Allied Telesis XFP transceivers can be ordered from your Allied
Telesis reseller.
RX and TX terminal locations on SC fibre GBIC ports are the reverse of TX and RX
terminal locations on fixed SC fibre ports. From the GBIC front, the RX terminal is
located on the left and the TX terminal is on the right. Never carry out this check with
the GBIC plugged into the equipment - see the warning that follows this text.
Warning Do not look into fibre cables or their transceivers. Invisible laser
radiation may be emitted from disconnected fibres or connectors.
