Motor Shaft Removal and Disassembly
Removal and disassembly of cer tain motor shaft
components can be accomplished while the winch is
mounted on the tractor. The motor and brake can be
removed without removing any other components (other
than various hoses and fittings), but taking out the
planetary reducer and clutch housing requires removing
the Intermediate Shaft and Gear fi rst (see
Intermediate
Shaft Removal
section). Inspect all parts for damage and
wear as specifi ed in Figure 4-7.
