3.3 Bandwidth
The Bandwidth Management function of the MMC1000xx is used to limit the
bandwidth a port may use when sending or receiving data. Storm Control protection can also be
configured to discard excessive broadcast, multicast, Control Packet traffic and flooded unicast and
multicast packets.

Traffic:
Used to configure the ingress and egress rate limits allowed by the converter.
State:
Used to enable or disable bandwidth limitation.
Data Rate:
Used to set the data rate allowed by each port. For All Traffic options bandwidth
limitations can set in increments of 1Mbps.
Frame Type:
Used to configure traffic types used for Storm Control. Broadcast, IP Multicast,
Control packets and Flooded Unicast/Mulitcast packets can be selected.
Data Rate:
Configured the required amount of traffic allowed before the converter will
discard particular traffic types.
Burst Size
Configuration:
Configure the allowed packets burst size.
Apply Button:
The Apply button must be pressed after making any changes to any of the
values on this screen.
