3.11 Alarm
The MMC1000xx supports SNMP event trapping. This allows the administrator to receive
notifications via email or via SNMP software when a particular event occurs. Events such as Link
Up, Link Down, Power On, Power Off etc.
3.11.1 Events

Email Select/
Unselect All:
Tick the checkbox to select/unselect all events.
Trap Select/
Unselect All:
Tick the checkbox to select/unselect all events.
Cold Start:
Tick the appropriate tick box to enable a Trap or Email to be sent when the
MMC1000xx powers on.
Warm Start:
Tick the appropriate tick box to enable a Trap or Email to be sent when the
MMC1000xx has been rebooted.
Link Down:
Tick the appropriate tick box to enable a Trap or Email to be sent when the
MMC1000xx’s link goes down on the copper or fibre port.
Link Up:
Tick the appropriate tick box to enable a Trap or Email to be sent when the
MMC1000xx’s link becomes active on the copper or fibre port.
Authentication
Failure:
Tick the appropriate tick box to enable a Trap or Email to be sent if
authentication failures occur when trying to access the management.
User Login:
Tick the appropriate tick box to enable a Trap or Email to be sent when a user
logs into the management.
User Logout:
Tick the appropriate tick box to enable a Trap or Email to be sent when a user
logs out of the management.
Apply Button:
The Apply button must be pressed after making any changes to any of the
values on this screen.
