Serial Interface
This DB–9 female connector is used to connect the unit to a host computer for remote
control, monitoring and calibration via RS–232 commands. Its layout and operation is
shown in Figure 1.3.5. A serial cable to connect it to a computer is available from Alpha.
More information on its connection and use is given in Section 4, “Communication.”
The interface is opto–isolated and shares a common ground with the
Status/Self Test Terminal Block.
