To use your Jump Start System to power appliances:

1.  Lift up the cover of the cigarette lighter receptacle (10)
2.  Insert the cigarette lighter plug from the appliance into the cigarette lighter receptacle (10).

Warning:

Always store the Jumpstart System in a dry, safe location that is out of reach of children.

Recharging

This unit is rechargeable, by either 230 VAC or by use of a 12 VDC cigarette lighter. It is recommended that the battery is kept
fully charged at all times. If the battery is left in a low charge state it could shorten battery life. Keep in mind that the time
required to recharge the battery depends on the number of previous battery jump start. To check and see, if the battery is
low, press the button (6). The meter will show the battery charge level. Green area of meter indicates that it is charged.

To recharge using 230 VAC:

1.  Plug the 230 VAC power cord into the square adapter (9), and then into a 230 VAC outlet.
2.  Allow the Jump Start System to recharge for about 4 hours. Check the recharge progress by pressing the  red button (6).
This will show the level of battery power on the volt meter (5).
3.  This Jump Start System is equipped with an automatic cut off so you can not overcharge the battery.

The system may remain plugged into a 230 VAC outlet until needed.

To recharge using a 12 VDC supply:

Note: Recharging with this method will not recharge the system to the same 14 to 15 VAC voltage level as will plugging it into
a 230 VAC outlet.
1.  Insert the cigarette lighter plug from the appliance into the cigarette lighter receptacle (9) on the system.
2.  Insert the power cord with the cigarette lighter plug into the 12 VAC cigarette lighter receptacle on your   vehicle or boat.

Battery disposal

After battery in the Jump Start System has expired, it should be recycled. Some states require this recycling. Contact your
local solid waste authority for recycling information.

Warning:

do not dispose of battery by fire. This could result in an explosion. Before disposing of battery cover exposed

terminals with heavy duty electrical tape to prevent shorting. Do not expose battery to intense heat or fire as this could cause
an explosion.

10.   Keep children away. Children must never be allowed in the work area. Do not let them handle machines,

    tools, or extension cords.
11.   Store idle equipment. When not in use, tools must be stored in a dry location to inhibit rust.

Always lock up tools and keep out of reach of children.
12.   Replacement parts and accessories. When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.

Use of any other parts will void the warranty.

Operation

The Jumpstart System is designed for use with vehicles and boats. You will not need a host vehicle or 230 VAC power supply.
You can also use this system as a portable power source of 12 VDC in remote areas or emergencies.

To use the Jumpstart System to start your vehicle:

1.  Make sure the vehicle or boat to be jump started is not running. Connect the red clamp to the positive

  terminal on the vehicle’s battery.
2.  Connect the black clamp to a non moving metal part of the engine, not to the negative terminal.
3.  Switch the vehicle or boat ignition to the On position. Wait for about a minute or two. Switch the boat or vehicle

to the start position for no more than 5 to 6 seconds. If the vehicle or boat engine does not start, wait at  least 3

 minutes

before

retrying.

 Caution:

Never allow the red and black clamps to touch each other or a common conductor.

4.  When the engine is running, disconnect the black clamp first and return the cable to its stored

  position on the jumpstart system.
5.  Disconnect the red clamp and return the cable to its position on the system.
6.  As soon as possible, recharge your Jump Start System.
