 PRECAUTIONS

PRECAUTIONS

• Be sure to disconnect the cable from the (–) battery post

before installing your TUE-T112P. This will reduce any
chance of damage to the unit in case of a shortcircuit.

• Be sure to connect the color coded leads according to

the diagram. Incorrect connections may cause the unit
to malfunction or damage the vehicle's electrical sys-
tem.

• When making connections to the car’s electrical sys-

tem, be aware of the factory installed components (e.g.
on-board computer). Do not tap into these leads to pro-
vide power for this unit. When connecting the
TUE-T112P to the fuse box, make sure the fuse for the
intended circuit of the TUE-T112P has the appropriate
amperage. Failure to do so may result in damage to the
unit and/or the vehicle. When in doubt, consult your
ALPINE dealer.

• The TUE-T112P uses female RCA-type jacks for con-

nection to other units (e.g. amplifier) having RCA con-
nectors. You may need an adaptor to connect other
units. If so, please contact your authorized ALPINE
dealer for assistance.

Before installing

• The diversity antenna supplied with

this unit is designed specifically for
use with the ALPINE mobile color
monitor system. (It cannot be con-
nected to the car radio.)

• Do not rub the antenna or the anten-

na’s cable with alcohol, benzine,
thinner, gasoline or other volatile
substances.

• Attach to the inside of the car win-

dow glass.

• Be sure to wipe the window surface

where the antenna will be attached
with a clean cloth to remove mois-
ture, dirt, dust, wax, oil or other sub-
stances. (If there is moisture, oil or
other wet substances on the attach-
ment surface, the attachment tape
will not stick well and easily come
off.)

• Be sure to attach the antenna so that

the adhesive surface is not on glass
heating wires or glass antenna
wires.

• Identify the exact attachment loca-

tion and confirm that the antenna will
not interfere with a heating wire,
glass antenna or wiper motor.

IMPORTANT

Please record the serial number of your unit
in the space provided below and keep it as a
permanent record. The serial number plate
is located on the bottom of the unit.
