6. Installation / connection
Important note!
The transmission and reception properties of the b@home
components are dependent to a great extent on spatial conditions.
As a result, the range is reduced by reinforced walls, ceilings, as well
as metallic housing, for example. Further information on this can be found
at the links listed under Point 7.
6.1 b@home gate on the wall Securing
1. Drill the holes using the drill template
provided
2. Insert the dowels
3. Insert the screws approx. 3mm
4. Mount the b@home gate at an angle
and rotate into the end position
6.2. Connecting the Ethernet cable and power supply
Warning!
Observe the correct sequence of events when connecting
the Ethernet cable and power supply (see subsequent information).

Only use the plug-in power supply contained within the
scope of delivery.
Warning!
If multiple b@home gates are to be operated within the
same network, the devices must be connected with the network and
set up one after the other in each case. Further information on this may be
found in the complete operating instructions for the b@home gate.
1. Connect the b@home gate using the Ethernet cable to a free router LAN
port.
2. Connect the b@home gate to the power supply using the plug-in power
supply. After connecting to the power supply, both lights will flash green
for a short time. As soon as the lights have gone out, the b@home gate is
ready for operation.
3. Enter http://bathomegate/ into the browser address line of the device
within the home network. The new b@home gate within the home network
will be displayed.

6. Montage / Anschluss
Wichtiger Hinweis!
Die Sende- und Empfangseigenschaften der b@home-
Komponenten sind in starkem Maße von den räumlichen Gegeben-
heiten abhängig. So wird die Reichweite durch z.B. armierte Wände,
Decken sowie Metallgehäuse verringert. Weitere Informationen hierzu
können Sie über die unter Punkt 7. aufgeführten Links erhalten
6.1 b@home-Gate an der Wand befestigen
1. Bohren der Löcher mittels beilie-
gender Bohrschablone
2. Dübel einsetzen
3. Schrauben bis ca. 3mm eindrehen
4. b@home-Gate schräg einhängen
und in Endlage drehen
6.2. Anschluss des Ethernet-Kabels sowie der Stromversorgung
Achtung!
Korrekte Reihenfolge bei Anschluss des Ethernet-Kabels und
der Stromversorgung beachten (siehe nachfolgende Informationen).

Nur das im Lieferumfang enthaltene Steckernetzteil ver-
wenden.
Achtung!
Sollten mehrere b@home-Gates im gleichen Netzwerk be-
trieben werden, müssen die Geräte unbedingt nacheinander mit dem
Netzwerk verbunden und eingerichtet werden. Weitere Informationen hierzu
finden Sie in der vollständigen Bedienungsanleitung des b@home-Gates.
1. b@home-Gate mit Ethernet-Kabel an einen freien LAN-Port des Routers
anschließen.
2. Stromversorgung des b@home-Gates mit Steckernetzteil herstellen.
Nach Anschluss der Stromversorgung leuchten beide Lampen für kurze
Zeit grün. Sobald die Lampen erloschen sind ist das b@home-Gate be-
triebsbereit.
3. http://bathomegate/ in die Browser-Adresszeile eines im Heimnetzwerk
befindlichen Gerätes eingeben - das neue im Heimnetzwerk befindliche b@
home-Gate wird angezeigt.
