16.9 Installation tips
The following tips should be noted when installing the wireless components:
•
The transmission path should be as short as possible
•
The number of times the wireless signal passes through ceilings and walls should be reduced as much as possible
•
The angle of incidence through the wall or ceiling also affects the signal attenuation

The central component of the b@home gate should be positioned
centrally
in the building to avoid large distances and
to reduce the number of times that walls and ceilings have to be passed through.
Furthermore, the transmitter and receiver should
not
be fitted on the same wall side. We would recommend installing
them on opposite walls.
