Storage
2 years
Introduction
The storage procedures defined below are for storage times of less than 2
years. For longer periods, specialpackaging must be designed and appropri-
ate procedures devised.
Short--term storage
(6 months)
The table below indicate how to stock the main components of the circuit---
breaker for a medium--term storage :
Component
Storage
Protective bag in good condition
(vacuum--wrapped)
The apparatus must be stored with its
transport packaging open whilst
placed on beams in a closed, but ven-
tilated, flood--proof place.
Protective bag not vacuum---
wrapped (teared)
The apparatus must be stored on
beams in a closed, but ventilated,
flood--proof place, placed on beams
in stable transport position, packing
open.
In order to prevent corrosion damage
due to formation of condensation, it is
mandatory that the heating circuit be
switched on.
Medium--term storage
(less than 2 years)
The apparatus must be stored on beams in a closed, but ventilated, flood---
proof place, placed on beams in stable transport position, packing open.

Check for presence of SF
6
gas in poles (referto module “Checking forpres-
ence of SF
6
gas in poles”).
PROTECT THE ELECTRICAL CABINET AGAINST DUST. (THE ELEC-
TRICAL CABINET MUST BE COVERED BUT NOT AIRTIGHT).
ANY CHANGE OF LOCATION OF THE APPARATUS (EVEN AFTER COM-
MISSIONING) SHOULD BE DONE AT A REDUCED PRESSURE OF
0.03 MPa.
