8 Fluorescence Measurement

can measure fluorescence to
predict color stability.

. Activate
following indices:

E Fl
: Indicates whether and how much fluorescent energy is emitted.
•
Δ
E
zero
: Calculates the estimated color difference after the fluorescence has
decayed.
Place instrument on sample and measure it, see for example
“
”.
The status of the fluorescence detection is signaled via an acoustic and a visual
signal. For the visual signal the status LED on the top of the instrument is used:
• Status LED = Blue: Fluorescence has been detected.
• Status LED = Pink: Fluorescence exceeds predefined limit.
Notice
The fluorescence limit can be customized as tolerance value in the software
“smart-chart”.
